Sailor Moon Inspired Adult Make-Up Announced

"Moon Crystal Power, Make Up!" Bandai Premium Store had announced that they will be releasing a make-up inspired by Naoko Takeuchi's hit magical girl manga Sailor Moon. To be released under their Creer Beaute line of products, "Miracle Romance Shining Moon Powder" will be available on October.

The product is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sailor Moon. It will be show in the public for the first time at Bandai's booth in International Tokyo Toy Show 2013 this coming June 15th to 16th.

Miracle Romance Nail Collection for Sailor Moon Cosmetics

Bandai's cosmetic branch, Creer Beaute continues to release the Miracle Romance line for Sailor Moon Cosmetics. Earlier this month, they announced the release of the Miracle Romance Shining Moon Powder and after few days, they announced their second collection which is the Sailor Moon R Miracle Romance Nail Collection.

The Miracle Romance Nail Collection is based on the transformation sticks used by the four Sailor Senshi. Each of the polish represents the color of each Senshi: blue for Sailor Mercury, red for Sailor Mars, green for Sailor Jupiter and orange for Sailor Venus. And though, Sailor Moon didn't really use a transformation stick, hers was represented in pink. Aside from these, the following nail polishes were made of different finishes: pearl for pink, blue and green then, matte for red and orange.

This Sailor Moon cosmetics brought Sailor Moon transformation devices to reality to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original manga and anime by Takeuchi Naoko. And in line with this, the Miracle Romance Nail Collection will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, Wednesday at 10 a.m. on Premium Bandai for 5,250 yen or about $53.

New Sailor Moon Musical Cast in Costume!

The cast of the upcoming all-female musical based on Naoko Takeuchi's magical girl manga Sailor Moon had already been photographed in costume! Additionally, the stage play revealed to be entitled, “Musical Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: La Reconquista”.

It was previously reported that Takeuchi personally auditioned actresses for the cast, which will be led by 17-year-old Satomi Ōkubo will be the fifth actress to assume the role of Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon, while Yūga Yamato, former member of the famed all-female Takarazuka troupe will play as Tuxedo Mask.

Furthermore, additional cast had been announced including (click name to view photo) former Takarazuka actress Midori Hatsukaze as Queen Beryl and Ryō Saika as Kunzite, Misaki Komatsu as Zoisite, Koro as Nephrite, model Root as Jadeite, Mayumi Shintani as Lemures Leader, and Jamie Natsuki as Queen Serenity.

The musical will be a new story, recounting of the battles between the Sailor Warriors and the Dark Kingdom that seeks the Silver Crystal.

Takuya Hiramitsu is producing, writing, and directing the new musical with music by Toshihiko Sahashi. Dwango and Nelke Planning are co-producing the musical's run from September 13 to 23 at Shibuya's AiiA Theater Tokyo. Tickets cost 6800 yen each.

New Sailor Moon Anime To Release Sometime This Winter?

Merchandise listings for the new Sailor Moon anime, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the popular magical girl manga, had revealed that it will premiere sometime this December 2013 to January 2014.

The sheet lists "New anime starts?? More goods scheduled to debut!" It has been previously reported that Fumio Osano, the Sailor Moon manga's Kodansha editor, stated that the new anime was delayed.

In addition, it has been announced that idol group Momoiro Clover Z's concert this August 4th will have a surprise announcement. The idol group will be singing the new anime's theme song, entitled “Z Otome Shinsou.”

Last July 2012, it was confirmed that Sailor Moon will have an anime remake in production and supposed to be coming this Summer of 2013, to celebrate the original manga's 20th anniversary. It is said to be a retelling of the original manga and aimed toward older fans.

New Sailor Moon Anime to Stream Worldwide this Winter
Idol group Momoiro Clover Z confirmed during the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Event #2 that the new Sailor Moon anime will have a simultaneous worldwide streaming this winter, which is around December-January.

It will be streamed on the popular streaming site Niconico. Sailor Moon editor Fumio Osano was also present in the event in which he revealed that the staff cannot announce the voice cast yet. He also indicated that the new anime would not be a remake of the earlier Sailor Moon anime.

In addition, the idol group will sing both the opening and ending theme songs of the new anime.

Sailor Moon Perfect Edition Manga Announced

The October issue of Nakayoshi magazine revealed the two new illustrations for the perfect edition of the Sailor Moon manga series illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi, the creator of the original Sailor Moon manga.

The Perfect Edition will have a total of 12 volumes, the same count like the New Edition versions. This edition will be bigger than the original and new editions of the manga series since it uses A5 paper. The Perfect Edition of the Sailor Moon manga will be released every month starting this fall in Japan.

2014 Sailor Moon Anime To Be Streamed in 10 Different Languages

In Kodansha Comics' New York Comic Con panel, it was revealed that the upcoming 2014 Sailor Moon anime that the series will be released around January 2014 subtitled in 10 different languages!

It was previously reported that the new series will air during the Winter 2014 anime season and it will be simultaneously streamed via Niconico.

It is quite obvious that one of those languages is English. What do you guys think are the other 9?

Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Tribute Album Announced
Comic Natalie reports that in celebration of Naoko Takeuchi's classic shoujo manga Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon's 20th anniversary, a tribute album comprises of 10 tracks, covered by veteran and popular Japanese artists, will be released this January.

Initially announced artists included in the tribute album are self-professed anime otaku Shoko Nakagawa, idol group Momoiro Clover Z, and the "queen of anime song" Mitsuko Horie. Titles of the tracks and additional cover artists will be revealed in a later date.

The Sailor Moon tribute album will be released on January 29th, 2014 and will be available for 3000 yen. Meanwhile, the new anime is slated to premiere this Winter, and will be available for worldwide streaming in 10 different subtitled languages.

Sailor Moon Crystal 1st Image, Plot Synopsis Revealed

Toei Animation uploaded an unlinked image (now removed) to the official Sailor Moon anime site, which revealed new information about the new anime series!

Entitled "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal", the image also lists the previously revealed main staff, and the plot synopsis:

Usagi Tsukino is a second-year middle school girl who is a little clumsy and a crybaby, but she is full of energy. One day, she meets Luna, a black cat with a crescent moon on her forehead, and she transforms into Sailor Moon, a sailor-uniformed pretty guardian of love and justice! As a chosen guardian of justice, Usagi seems to have a mission to find the Illusionary Silver Crystal with the other guardians and to protect the princess.

Meanwhile, the queen of the Dark Kingdom, Queen Beryl, also sends minions to the town where Usagi lives to obtain the Illusionary Silver Crystal, which has immense power. This causes strange events to unfold...
